François Labet, owner of Château de la Tour in Vougeot, talks us through the history of one of the most famous Bourgogne Climats: the Clos de Vougeot.

Very visible thanks to its chateau, a former property of the Citeaux Abbey, the Clos de Vougeot can be summed up in a few figures: 50 hectares, 3.3km of walls, a monopole until 1889, now divided between more than 80 owners. Yet the Clos de Vougeot is more than that. François Labet tells you more in this video from the BIVB.

This video is taken from the “Rendezvous with Bourgogne Wines” show from March 2017. These exclusive videos are now accessible to all to discover the Bourgogne wine region.
